George Zimmerman's Girlfriend Changes Story, Now Says He 'Never Pointed a Gun at or Toward My Face

The girlfriend of George Zimmerman, who was recently arrested on firearms charges, changed her story on Monday after initially claiming that he pointed a gun at her. In addition to claiming that Zimmerman never actually pointed it at her face, Samantha Scheibe reportedly said she still wants to "be with" him.

Zimmerman, 30, faces a felony aggravated assault charge and other charges over the alleged incident. But Scheibe now wants prosecutors to drop the case.

According to court documents filed by Zimmerman's attorney Jayne Weintraub, Scheibe, 27, gave a sworn statement in which she wrote, "I do not want George Zimmerman charged."

Zimmerman, who had been acquitted earlier this year of murder in the death of teenager Trayvon Martin, had posted a $9,000 bond and was barred from any contact with Scheibe. He was also ordered to give up his guns and wear an electronic monitor.

Scheibe's new affidavit taken Dec. 6 stated, "When I was being questioned by police I felt very intimidated...I believe that the police misinterpreted me and that I may have misspoken about certain facts in my statement to police."

Scheibe wrote that Zimmerman "never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner" and that "I want to be with George."

Both Zimmerman and Scheibe have reportedly requested that conditions of his bail be updated so they can have contact with each other.

As previously reported by TheBlaze, Scheibe previously told a 911 dispatcher that Zimmerman had a "freaking gun, breaking all my stuff right now." She also said Zimmerman pushed her out of the home and locked her out.

"In September, he was arrested and then released without charges after his wife called 911 to say Zimmerman punched his father-in-law in the nose and threatened to shoot him and his wife," the report adds.

Zimmerman was acquitted in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin earlier this year.
