Most voters say Pope Francis deserved 'Person of the Year' title: poll
December 17, 2013
A new poll from Democratic polling firm Public Policy Polling shows most Americans think between Pope Francis and admitted NSA-leaker Edward Snowden, Francis deserved the "Person of the Year" title designated by Time magazine.
Sixty-four percent of voters say Francis was the right choice while 10 percent say it should have been Snowden, who was the runner-up. Broken down by party, 73 percent of Democrats chose Francis, 57 percent of Republicans said the same, as did 61 percent of independents.
