Let's Get the F*** Out of Here': There's an Update on the TV Anchor Who Uttered an On-Air Expletive

"I’m embarrassed."

This story has been updated.

KSNW-TV anchor Justin Kraemer gained national attention after uttering "Let’s get the f*** out of here" on a "hot mic" following the NBC affiliate's Saturday night broadcast. Now, Kraemer is claiming that he was fired from his position as a result of the on-air incident.

"I’m embarrassed. I did something extraordinarily unprofessional," he subsequently told The Wichita Eagle. "It’s something that’s drilled into you from the minute you start in this business to always consider the microphones hot."

Kraemer called the incident's viral spread "surreal" and an experience that has been "fascinating."

"I’m not sure I would wish it on anybody, but honestly I really don’t know how to put into words how surreal and bizarre the last few days have been," he said.

Watch the video below (caution: strong language):

Kraemer also told The Wichita Eagle that he was already planning on leaving KSNW-TV before the incident unfolded, though he didn't share where he's headed. While Gawker claims that a tipster told the outlet that Kraemer is going to work for KOAA-TV in Colorado Springs, but a representative for the outlet told TheBlaze, "Despite reports, Justin Kraemer will not be working at KOAA."

"I don’t anticipate any problems," the journalist told the Eagle of his future. "I’m pretty positive I’m going to end up landing on my feet, so I’m encouraged by that."

As TheBlaze previously reported, Kraemer’s bio is no longer visible the KSNW-TV website.
