"My beloved Beliebers..."
Could Justin Bieber be hanging up his clip-on microphone for good?

The 19-year-old Canadian pop megastar tweeted Tuesday night that he's "officially retiring," surely sending legions of "Beliebers" into a panic.

But don't get too worked up just yet -- Bieber also tweeted to his fans, "I'm never leaving you" and "being a Belieber is a lifestyle."

Bieber also shared a Christmas message, along with the vow, "I'M HERE FOREVER."

Beiber's Twitter pronouncement comes after he also told a Los Angeles radio station last week that he was leaving the music business.
"Um, I'm actually retiring, man" Bieber said when asked about the future of his career.
E! Online reported last week that a source said, "Of course it's not true."
"The Biebs" has had a tumultuous year, including being accused of attacking a neighbor, having marijuana found on his tour bus, and getting caught on video urinating into a mop bucket and yelling "f*** Bill Clinton!"
