The face of Christmas in Japan is... Colonel Sanders?

TIL that Kentucky Fried Chicken is a Christmas feast in Japan.  Who knew?!

I find this oddly interesting.  A British expat living abroad in Japan explains the odd tradition:

Every year on Christmas day, KFC Japan experiences it's busiest day of the year. KFC in Japan has become the equivalent of an annual Christmas dinner, in a day that is not only awesome but often feels like an alternate reality.

This year I wanted a piece of the action and ordered from the "Premium Series Menu" - KFC Japan's unique seasonal menu.
