The most tasteless tweet of the day

I think politics these days is getting too cynical even for me, and I can a pretty darn cynical person.

But in case the over-the-top outrage being aimed at Melissa Harris-Perry this week wasn't enough, left-leaning blog site Gawker effectively demonstrates how reason has flown the coop and hate is what's really driving politics these days.

After news broke that Liz Cheney is leaving her Senate race due to family issues, Gawker uses the innocuous circumstance to take a personal swipe at Cheney's dad, former Vice President Dick Cheney. Why? Because they can -- and apparently that's all the reason they need these days.
