'Brings a Tear to the Eye': 2014′s First Viral Marriage Proposal Is Here

"...this is not a normal show this evening..."

A new video uploaded to the Internet Tuesday shows the moments a musical production of "Peter Pan" paused so that the actor playing Peter could propose to Wendy — and the footage has now gone viral.

According to The Daily Dot, 28-year-old Sandor Sturbl interrupted the Jan. 11 script and asked 22-year-old Jane Mary Sullivan for her hand in marriage, during a performance in the U.K.

“So, ladies and gentlemen, normally this show would continue with Peter Pan watching Wending and giving her a kiss,” Sturbl said. “Although this is not a normal show this evening."

He then dropped to his knee and proposed in front of the live audience. Sullivan emotionally responded yes.

Footage of the video was widely circulated on the Internet Wednesday, achieving 377,000 views on YouTube and warming the hearts of many.

"Love this fairytale," one person commented on YouTube. "So happy for the newly engaged couple."

"Such a great proposal," wrote another. "Brings a tear to the eye."
