A Urinating Dog Actually Fueled an Armed Standoff In Pennsylvania

The argument was fueled by alcohol.

An armed standoff that ended after shots were fired was apparently instigated by a urinating dog, police reportedly say.

According to WPXI, Pennsylvania state police said they took Matthew Palmeri, 25, into custody after he surrendered following an armed standoff with a friend.

The argument, fueled by alcohol, was over how to discipline a dog that had urinated in the man's apartment, police said.

WPXI has more:

Online court records don't list an attorney for 25-year-old Matthew Palmeri, of White Township. He was awaiting arraignment on charges including aggravated assault and reckless endangerment for allegedly firing a gun at his friend after they argued over Palmeri's decision to beat the urinating dog.

According to police, the alleged victim fled the apartment and dialed 911 at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
