Surveillance Footage Shows Shopkeeper Fight Off Would-Be Armed Robber With Unusual Weapon

A brave shopkeeper in the U.K. fought off an armed would-be robber by hurling cans of beer at him earlier this month.

According to Sky News, a man wearing a "V for Vendetta" style mask and armed with a handgun burst into the liquor store in Ramsbottom on Jan. 12 with an accomplice.

Surveillance footage shows one of the suspects pointing his firearm at the employees behind the counter, appearing to demand cash. In the video, the same suspect can even be seen striking one of the workers with the hand holding the handgun.

That's when one of the shopkeepers — believed to be the owner — had enough.

He can be seen in the video throwing several cans of beer at one of the suspects, causing them both to flee the scene.

Authorities are still searching for the individuals and are investigating whether or not they are also tied to other robberies in the area.
