Alec Baldwin Claims His 5-Month-Old Daughter Was Selected For Pat Down At Airport
January 29, 2014
"...not kidding."
Actor Alec Baldwin said Tuesday that officials with the Transportation Security Administration patted down his 5-month-old daughter on a trip back to the U.S. from the Bahamas — but it appears part of his claim was incorrect.
The 55-year-old actor made the allegations in a tweet he sent out, saying he was "not kidding" and branding traveling in the U.S. as a "disgrace."

But, a senior Department of Homeland Security told NBC News that Baldwin's claims were unfounded because the TSA does not conduct screenings in the Bahamas. According to the official, security operations are handled by the Nassau Airport Authority in the airport.
Baldwin later seemed to acknowledge that it wasn't the TSA who allegedly patted down his daughter, but did not offer an apology for incorrectly placing blame on them.
