The Fact That a Robber Gets Socked in the Face Isn’t Even the Best Part About This Video – It’s What Happened Right Before

"Wow..."

Jason Dunne, 32, was waving a pistol at his 18-year-old victim and reportedly asking, "’Do you want to be shot?'’

Dunne wanted the Manchester University (U.K.) student's cell phone...but the kid wasn't about to give it up.

Surveillance video depicts the pair wrestling on a nighttime sidewalk before the student apparently tries one of the oldest slapstick tricks on the hapless thug, reported Mancunian Matters.

The student reportedly stopped the confrontation, pointed, and asked Dunne something along the lines of: ''Wow, what’s that over there?"

Dunne took the bait, and the plucky teen unleashed a well-aimed haymaker upon Dunne's noggin and took off into the night, cellphone intact.

To add legal troubles to an already bruised ego (and forehead), Dunne moments later was arrested, as security staff at Manchester University filmed the entire episode on closed-circuit TV and alerted police.

The footage, recorded last November but only emerging Thursday, led to Dunne's five-year jail sentence after admitting to attempted robbery and having an imitation firearm with intent to commit "an indictable offence."
