After rumors swirled that Justin Bieber was considering making a move to Atlanta, a local radio station pulled off the ultimate hoax, duping the likes of CNN, TMZ, Gawker, Time and the BBC, among other media outlets.According to CNN, a morning show on Atlanta station Rock 100.5 called “The Regular Guys” created a fake neighborhood group and convinced a total of 33 international outlets that the “Buckhead Neighborhood Coalition” was protesting against the pop singer putting down roots in Atlanta following his recent trouble with the law.
The hoax reportedly generated a whopping 45,000 news stories.

Residents of a wealthy Atlanta neighborhood plan to stage a protest early Monday morning to express disagreement with the possibility of singer Justin Bieber moving into the area.

The troubled pop-star went house shopping in the affluent Atlanta area of Buckhead this week, according to WXIA-TV. The singer wants to live closer to the city's hip-hop community, TMZ reported.
However, residents of the community aren't too crazy about the idea of being neighbors with "The Biebs."
A protest posted to Facebook, with 216 RSVPs at the time of publication, claims that "Justin Bieber's relocation to Atlanta can be nothing but bad for our children."

"Some can't even let their children play in the driveway without fear; he has raced vehicles under the influence, before," the Facebook event page adds. "What's to say he won't do it again? As a home owner down the street from this residence, one can assume many people will be contacting real estate agents soon enough."

"Please do not allow a child to ruin what we have worked so hard to obtain," it concludes.
Signs posted to Facebook read "DUI Much?" and "Keep Buckead Bieber Free."
According to WXIA-TV, Buckhead is already home to world-renowned celebrities like Janet Jackson and Elton John.
