Colleen Wogernese, whose husband Chad died in September after a 318 struggle with Ewing's sarcoma, said she wanted to honor her husband's memory.

“It mostly just makes me happy and gives me a good memory of him,” the former Northeastern grad student told WBZ-TV.

"I never heard a complaint, I never heard a 'why me,'" Wogernese added to WBZ-TV.

To start the day, she returned to Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital to provide gift bags to staffers who helped make her husband comfortable and best feel at home while he received treatment.

She then took to the streets, handing strangers candy, hand-knitten items and free Charlie Cards.

“He was just so giving, I want my children to know how giving he was and this was the best way to show them,” Colleen said.

“I want to live the rest of my life that way, instead of sitting there feeling sorry for myself, turn it into something good,” she concluded.
