Pregnant Woman Robbed at Gunpoint — But That's Not Even the Worst Part of This Crime

The suspects threw a gun from the vehicle, which was recovered by police.

The good news is that police in Annapolis, Md. arrested two men Sunday suspected of robbing at gunpoint a man and a pregnant woman.

The not-so-good news is that the pregnant woman was in labor at the time of the incident.

The pregnant woman, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital, the Baltimore Sun reported; there are no reports regarding the woman's condition.

Police said a 911 caller reported two people were being held up around 4:30 a.m., according to the Sun. When officers arrived on the scene, one of the victims pointed to the suspects fleeing in a stolen vehicle, reported WJZ-TV in Baltimore.

After police pursued the vehicle, driver and passenger abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, WJZ said, adding that the suspects threw a gun from the vehicle, which was recovered by police.

The suspects were caught by police after a foot chase. Devery Kelley, 24, of Annapolis and Cornell Robinson, 44, of Washington, D.C. were being held at the Annapolis Police Department; charges are pending, WJZ reported.
