Chris Christie Snaps at Town Hall Hecklers: 'Sit Down and Keep Quiet or Get Out!

"We are done with you."

A number of hecklers gave New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie a hard time during a Thursday town hall at a YMCA in Mount Laurel, N.J. Some of the critics shouted about the “Bridgegate” scandal and questions surrounding Hurricane Sandy relief funding.

At one point, Christie lost his patience and snapped at a very vocal audience member.

“Listen… Either sit down and keep quiet or get out, one or the other. We are done with you,” he said.

Police officers eventually escorted the heckler out of the town hall meeting.

Two more female protesters were removed later in the meeting, leading Christie to address the issue.

“I really love youthful enthusiasm, I really do,” Christie told the crowd as the protesters were being removed. “And these folks who come in here today, ginned up for their own partisan purposes, you see they’re get exactly what they want, because they get taken out, they get attention and then press follows them out and interviews them.”

He claimed the hecklers don’t really want an answer or they would’ve waited to be called on.
