Diver’s Plan for Vivid Caribbean GoPro Video Tour Goes All to Hell When Shark Shows Up

A new video uploaded to YouTube appears to show a close encounter an individual had with a shark Thursday while diving in the Caribbean Sea.

According to the YouTube description, a Caribbean Reef Shark "came out of nowhere" as Jason Dimitri was in the water Lionfish culling.

The shark can be seen repeatedly approaching Dimitri who uses a stick to fend off the fish. It appears Dimitri was eventually able to escape the water unscathed.

Captured with a GoPro camera, the footage is now going viral. At the time of publication, it had amassed just under 100,000 views on YouTube.
