Kid Throws a Tantrum When He Doesn't Get Foul Baseball

"That's what baseball is all about."

A young boy eagerly reached for the foul ball being tossed to him during the game that pit the Los Angeles Dodgers against an Australian all-star team this week.

A ball boy hopped in to pick up the ball that fell out reach, but instead of giving it to this boy he gave it to another child. The boy sporting a yellow jersey stomped his feet, construed his face to the brink of tears and pointed to himself yelling "Me!"

"Give him the ball!" one of the announcers said.

After a few contemptuous seconds, the other boy who was given the ball passed it to the one who was in a fit.

"Now that's the right decision," a second announcer said.

"Look at all the autographs on the back of his jersey. That's what baseball is all about," the first announcer chimed in.

Conversely, Bleacher Report pointed out that some might think the boy shouldn't have gotten the ball at all.

"Chicago Cubs fans would rather the child not get the ball, because such disappointments make up the entirety of the baseball experience," Gabe Zaldivar wrote for the sports site.

Watch the boy transform from enraged fan to happy camper:

To be fair, issue of kids being upset over foul balls is not a unique to this boy.

As a bonus, this video shows the ball boy tossing a ball to a fans, but it instead landed in the Minnesota Twins' mascot's mouth instead:
