Anthony Weiner to Write Monthly Column for Business Insider Called 'Weiner!

Ex-New York congressman and notorious "sexter" Anthony Weiner will write a monthly political column for Business Insider called "Weiner!," Business Insider announced Monday.

His column will run the last Friday of each month, starting March 28.

As a native New Yorker, Weiner isn't afraid to throw elbows. However, Weiner isn't all about histrionics and political brawls. In his recent mayoral race, Weiner's platform included 125 "Keys To The City," a datacentric pair of books filled with policy ideas aimed at keeping New York "the Capital of the Middle Class."

We believe the unique combination of brashness and wonkiness that made Weiner one of last year's most memorable candidates and one of the most high-profile advocates for health care reform during his time in Congress will make him a perfect fit for Business Insider.

Weiner, a Democrat, resigned from Congress in 2011 after accidentally posting X-rated photos of himself on Twitter, intending send them to various women. Though Weiner said publicly that he was working on his marriage, it came out in the run-up to the 2013 mayoral election that Weiner's lewd days were far from behind him.

Though his wife had recently had a baby, it seems Weiner continued to have explicit conversations with other women using the alias "Carlos Danger."

But the former lawmaker seems excited about his new Business Insider column.

"It's great to have the opportunity to add to the always smart and often iconoclastic coverage of politics and policy at Business Insider," Weiner commented. "I look forward to a spirited conversation with the BI community."
