Surveillance footage shows the two employees wrestle away a handgun from the unidentified assailant, forcing him to flee without cash or his gun.
"He started swinging the gun back and forth. When the gun got close to him, I saw my opportunity," one of the workers, identified as "Mark," told KTVU.

"I grabbed it by both ends and just yanked it out of his hand," he added.
Mark told KTVU that he just acted out on instinct.
“I was a little nervous at first,” he said. “Then the adrenaline just kicked in and I just reacted.”

San Leandro police Lt. Robert McManus said the duo was "very brave," but that they are "extremely lucky that no one was injured during this violent crime."
Investigators are still working to identify a suspect.
