Bill Maher's Treatise on Conservative Talk Radio Pushes All the Buttons You Likely Expect

"...because the Tea Party always has room for one more voice in their heads."

Bill Maher tore into conservative radio and their hosts at the end of his "Real Time" show Friday night, saying mockingly that "there are never enough" right-wing talk radio hosts "because the Tea Party always has room for one more voice in their heads."

Maher made an example of  Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) who said he won't seek reelection in 2014 so he can enter talk radio, noting that Republicans see politics and talk radio as kind of the same animal.

“The GOP has kind of become talk radio — an echo chamber where people are not interested in actually legislating or compromising or fixing America, just in screeching about how liberals have ruined it. So why not do it on the radio? The money’s better. And no one can see your toupee.”

Maher then pointed out that Ted Cruz is singularly lionized by the right because he views public office as “just a higher form of talk radio.”
