See the Priceless Reactions of People When We Tell Them How Much the Richest 1 Percent Actually Pay in Taxes

In honor of "tax day," the April 15th filing deadline for federal income taxes, TheBlaze TV's Wonderful World of Stu recentlydecided to see how aware the average American is of how different income groups are contributing to the national coffers.

While being filmed, passers-by were asked to fill in the blank of this sentence: "The richest 1% in America pay __% of income taxes."

The various answers included everything from 0.5 percent to five percent to, "isn't it something ridiculous, like 10 percent?"

The respondents were visibly shocked when they were told the answer is actually closer to 35 percent.

"Oh! That's actually quite a bit..." one remarked.
