Video Aftermath of Small Plane Crash at Air Show on Military Base (UPDATE: Pilot Killed)

UPDATE  7:53 p.m. EST: Emergency responders said a civilian pilot is dead after a biplane crashed while performing in an air show at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California, reported KGO-TV in San Francisco.

A witness told KGO that the plane was engulfed in flames and that two Air Force officials tried to rescue the pilot.

A small plane performing at an air show at Travis Air Force Base in California crashed Sunday, an official said, CNN reported.

Witnesses at the scene told KMAX-TV in Sacramento that the plane was flying upside down before it crashed; the station reported that no spectators were injured in the crash.

A photograph from the scene shows black smoke rising from a tarmac.

Airman Bryan Swink told CNN the plane went down at the Thunder Over Solano air show at the base outside of Fairfield, about 45 minutes southwest of Sacramento.

The rest of Sunday's show was canceled, he said, adding that the plane that went down was not a military plane.
