A Florida Crime Scene So Bizarre, We Can't Even Begin to Describe It in a Headline

Jeremy Bryant's ex-girlfriend — reportedly fearing for her safety after learning Bryant was involved in a hit-and-run crash — decided to hide from him in a neighbor's house. Her concerns apparently were not without foundation, as Bryant allegedly was hunting her down.

Once Bryant figured out where she was, he kicked over a mailbox, the Orlando Sentinel reported — then he chucked a propane tank through his neighbor's car window and kicked in the door to the house, according to WKMG-TV in Orlando.

Bryant then reportedly grabbed a sword, chased and beat his neighbor, WKMG said, and threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend, the Sentinel added.

Driving home his point during the bloody Sunday night rampage, Bryant threatened to choke her with wind chime cables, squeezed until she couldn't breathe, and placed a hacksaw to her throat, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office report.

The 29-year-old from Winter Gardens, Florida also bit her nose and licked her face, the report noted.

Bryant then forced her into his pickup while holding a knife to her throat and drove away as sheriff's deputies arrived — and a chase was on.

More from WKMG:

The girlfriend jumped out of the car as it slowed, and Bryant bailed out near South Lakeview Avenue and West Cypress Street, deputies said.

K-9 units found Bryant hiding, and he was arrested.  He was taken to a hospital for treatment after being bitten by a K-9, deputies said.

Bryant's ex was cut on her right arm, the Sentinel noted, adding that she wasn't sure how the injury happened.

Bryant was jailed on charges of attempted second-degree murder, burglary to an occupied dwelling, fleeing and eluding, aggravated battery, and kidnapping.
