Glenn Beck's charity, Mercury One, made its debut at the NASCAR History 300 race on Saturday. The charity's name and logo were featured on car number 7 thanks to Fire Alarm Services, which donated the space, and a number of Blaze TV personalities were at the race.

Dana Loesch spent the day at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and interviewed Regan Smith, who drove the Fire Alarm Services car. The complete interview will air Friday at 5 p.m. EST on TheBlaze TV.

Smith finished in seventh place out of 40 drivers, while Kyle Larson won his second Nationwide Series victory of the season.

NASCAR fans can buy a replica of the vehicle Smith raced, and the proceeds will go toward Mercury One. Some of the models are even signed by Blaze TV personalities, including Glenn Beck, Pat Gray, Stu Burguiere, and Dana Loesch. You can get all the details here.

Glenn Beck explained on his radio program Friday why this particular race, and selling the NASCAR models, is so important to the future of Mercury One.

“Usually I do summer events to pay for all of the infrastructure [of Mercury One] … so I never have to ask you for money to pay for the light bills,” he said. “But this year, because of some weird stuff that happened, we’re not going to do a summer event. And so I’m having to ask you if you would help us keep the doors open of Mercury One, so we can always say, ‘When you make a donation, 100 percent of those dollars go to help.’ This is our fundraiser this year, and we want to thank Fire Alarm Services.”

Mercury One was founded three years ago with the guiding principle of “malice towards none and charity for all.” It wasted no time rushing to help those in need after opening its doors.

In the wake of Superstorm Sandy, Mercury One was one of the first to reach the Coney Island community to offer help. When tornadoes devastated Oklahoma back in May, more than $1 million was raised for the relief effort. And when dozens of tornadoes tore through the Midwest back in November, Mercury One flew into action.

Having recently joined Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Patriot Partner Program, Mercury One has also pledged to sponsor 250 active duty troops to be bused in, welcomed home, and honored for their service during the Memorial Weekend NASCAR Coca Cola 600 race on Sunday.
