A Philadelphia man is in the hospital recovering after police say he was impaled during a robbery early Sunday morning.
According to WCAU-TV, the 38-year-old was discovered at about 12:45 a.m., after police say he was confronted and robbed by at least three men.
The individuals allegedly went through his pockets, then picked the man up and hurled him into a construction site that had several steel bars sticking out from the ground.
The victim was found impaled in his stomach by a rebar, police said. After being taken to a local-area hospital, he underwent surgery and is now in stable condition, WCAU reported.
Police are still searching for the suspects. A description of them has not been released and WCAU reported that the victim was not cooperation with investigators.
