Why Comedian Is Completely Fed Up With MSNBC: 'What a Groveling, Awful, F***ing Hunk of S**t Network

"They are f***ing embarrassing."

Comedian Jim Norton blasted MSNBC on Thursday for “groveling” and actually warning viewers before the Washington Redskins’ team name was aired during the network's coverage on Wednesday.

Norton and the hosts of the popular “Opie and Anthony Show” were discussing the recent decision by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to strip the Redskins of their trademark registrations when the conversation shifted to MSNBC.

Gregg “Opie” Hughes played a clip from Joy Reid’s MSNBC show, during which she refuses to say “Redskins” while discussing the story and later warns viewers before audio of Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) saying the team name is aired.

“What a groveling, awful, f***ing hunk of s**t network MSNBC is,” Norton said.

The comedian also argued that the government shouldn’t be able to step in and force the Washington Redskins organization to change the team’s name. However, he said the team will likely be forced to rename the team eventually due to political pressure.

“It’s not the way to get s**t done,” Norton said. “You make — the government steps in, that’s f***ing disgusting.”

“And people don’t get it,” radio host Anthony Cumia chimed in.

“Because they agree with it,” Norton replied.

Still not done tearing into MSNBC, Norton later mocked Joy Reid for saving her “eight” viewers from getting offended by refusing to say “Redskins” on her program.

“All they do is apologize — they are f***ing embarrassing,” he added.

Opie, Anthony and Norton all agreed that there are serious issues that should be debated with as much passion as the Redskins debacle, such as Iraq, poverty and the U.S. border crisis — but it’s much easier to use a hashtag on Twitter to protest an NFL team name.
