New Video Shows What Happened Between Police Officer and Fox News Anchor Inside Holding Facility
June 26, 2014
"Quit resisting!"
New video obtained in the case of a Fox News anchor arrested at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport shows what happened inside a holding facility between the newsman and a police officer.
The footage shows Gregg Jarrett, who was detained after appearing intoxicated inside the airport on May 21, being checked by medical personal inside a holding room. When an officer arrives, Jarrett exchanges words, stands up, and appears to place his hand on the officer. That's when the officer quickly reacts, pushing Jarrett against the wall and eventually face-down on a bench before placing handcuffs on the anchor.
"Quit resisting!" the officer can be heard yelling:
Jarrett was arrested for interfering with a peace officer. The police report indicates he had recently been released from a treatment facility and was found with a prescription drug in his pocket.
When the incident was first reported in May, Fox News said he was on leave and there was no indication when he would return to the network.
