See the 'Award' Allegedly Posted at a Planned Parenthood Facility That Might Make Anti-Abortion Advocates Sick to Their Stomachs

"Many abortion supporters refused to believe it..."

A former Planned Parenthood staffer is making a disturbing allegation about her former employer. In a July 2 blog post, Abby Johnson claims to have uncovered proof that Planned Parenthood imposes “abortion quotas” on facilities — and then issues awards to ones that exceed the quota.

“Ever since I left Planned Parenthood, I have been talking about the abortion quotas that are established inside abortion facilities,” Johnson writes. “Many abortion supporters refused to believe it, citing that surely Planned Parenthood wants abortion to be safe, legal and RARE.  If they want something to be RARE, they certainly wouldn't have quotas, right?”

Johnson claims a clinic worker who recently left Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, an affiliate located in Denver, brought the award pictured above to her attention. The affiliate, which apparently runs the second largest Planned Parenthood facility in the country, allegedly gives out awards to their satellite clinics and then displays them on a bulletin board.

Johnson says the clinic worker started to rethink her opinion on Planned Parenthood’s intentions after she saw an award given to the Aurora Planned Parenthood office for "exceeding abortion visits first half of fiscal year 2012 compared to first half of fiscal year 2013."

We reached out to Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains on Wednesday to confirm or disprove the existence of abortion quotas, but the office was closed. We will continue pressing for more information from the organization.

Johnson, who joined Planned Parenthood in 2001, says she worked her way up to the title of health center director before she noticed things that "began to disturb me." On her organization's website, she cites "the increase in our abortion quota, our new desire to expand late term abortion services, and in the end, watching a 13 week old child in the womb struggle for his life during an abortion procedure."
