Some Anti-Hunting Advocates Are Furious Over a Photo of Steven Spielberg With a 'Dead Animal'…There's Just One Major Problem

"I don't care who he is, he should not have shot that animal."

You know all about the firestorm over 19-year-old cheerleader Kendall Jones posting photos of herself on Facebook with animals she's killed.

Jones wrote that this was the first big game she shot with a bow. (Image source: Kendall Jones/Facebook) Kendall Jones wrote that this was the first big game she shot with a bow. (Image source: Kendall Jones/Facebook)

It seems the controversy has led some in the anti-hunting crowd to locate other photos of happy hunters posing with their big game conquests.

Except one photo is backfiring big time, demonstrating that some anti-hunting commenters seem to possess very little historical or cultural awareness.

Here's the photo (content warning: profanity in post):

That the "animal" in question hasn't walked the Earth for ages is an unfortunate enough fact to miss. But it also appears some folks don't even recognize that the "hunter" is iconic movie director Steven Spielberg...on the set of of his blockbuster "Jurassic Park"...in front of his animatronic triceratops prop.

From one Facebook commenter, who recognized the Oscar-winning director but apparently little else:

He's a disgusting inhumane prick Id love to see these hunters be stopped…I think zoos are the best way to keep these innocent animals safe…assholes like this piece of s**t are going into these beautiful animals HOME and killing them…its no different than someone coming into your home and murdering you … . Steven Spielberg I'm disappointed in you…I'm not watching any of your movies again ANIMAL KILLER

It gets better.

A different Facebook post using the same photo was apparently done in jest over people not realizing that it's a photo of Spielberg.

The problem is, one commenter — even after being presented with the facts — didn't bat an eyelash. He just extended his anti-hunting rant even further: "I don't care who he is, he should not have shot that animal."
