Dashcam Footage Shows Unbelievable Act of Road Rage in Russia…but That's Just the Beginning

A hit-and-run incident brought on by a fit of road rage was caught on camera recently, but what happened after might be just as upsetting.

It is unclear what prompted the driver of a white BMW to take such callous action against an older man who got out of his car and spoke with this driver while they were stopped a traffic light. But whatever was said angered the driver enough to lead him to hit the gas pedal and run over this man as he was about to re-enter his car. Then the driver of the BMW pulled forward and got out to make sure his passenger side was not damaged. Then he drove off.

And that's not all.

While the man writhed on the ground in pain, clutching his leg, it took over a minute with more than cars slowing down to gawk at him before someone came to his aid. Even a vehicle marked with red crosses that looked like an ambulance that was slightly in front of the incident and drove off.

A woman wearing a helmet, pulled her scooter over and stepped in to help the man, placing something under his head for support.

Then a woman who pulled her scooter off to the side came to help the man until medics could arrive. (Image source: YouTube) Then a woman who pulled her scooter off to the side came to help the man until medics could arrive. (Image source: YouTube)

After this woman came to help the man, others quickly appeared with their phones, presumably calling the authorities.

Russia Today reported that Moscow police confirmed the incident, which occurred Monday, but did not provide further details.

The Moscow Times identified the man as 33-year-old Muscovite Alexander Prutyan who reportedly turned himself in afterward, saying he had bout road rage at the time. Prutyan could face up to eight years in prison for his actions.
