Glenn Beck said Thursday that the "game for who is going to control the Middle East" has begun, and it will lead to a "very long war" that "we have no way to solve."
"Mark my words," Beck said on his radio program. "This is the beginning of a very long war in the Middle East. ... This is all about the caliphate."
Beck said the Palestinians are pawns in a larger game, and that if nations like Turkey truly believed the Israelis have “surpassed what Hitler did,” they would assist Hamas in its fight.
"If [Israel is] so wrong, why doesn't everybody attack Israel?" Beck asked. "Because once the world gangs up on Israel, Israel wins. As long as Israel looks like the bully on these poor little people, the cause is advanced. And believe me, you do have a reason to feel bad for the Gazans because the Gazans are being used. They are pawns."
"Nobody really cares about [the Gazans]," Beck continued. "Nobody is really listening to them. Hamas, they're not listening to them. They're indoctrinating them. They're putting the bombs and the missiles and whatever else they have in the schools."
Beck said America is being dragged into the conflicts of the Middle East, and "there is no winner" that can emerge.
"This is why [Rep. Thomas Massey], I believe, is now talking about this 9/11 report and saying these documents have got to be shown to the American people," Beck said. "Because the case is going to be made that we need to get involved. Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, they're all involved."
Beck continued: "This is the beginning of the caliphate, and the reason why Israel is now under attack has nothing really to do with Israel. Even Israel is a pawn. This is a game for the caliphate. This is a game for who is going to control the Middle East. That's why everybody is attacking Israel. ... Because once you start this movement and you gather all this rage, it will morph."
"This is the beginning of a civil war in the Middle East that has very little to do with Israel, other than they're the easiest red meat to hold up in the window," Beck said.
