According to an incident report, obtained by WALB-TV, a Lee County Sheriff's deputy confronted  Bryan Reddick, 41, after responding to a call of a burglary in progress.

The 41-year-old, who had moved out of the home about six weeks ago, initially claimed he was "getting some of my things out of the house," according the the incident report.

Reddick, however, admitted to officers that his soon-to-be ex-wife did not know he had been inside the residence and that he had a firearm on him.

Another officer arrived on the scene and informed the deputy that a reported burglary had taken place earlier in the day.

According to the incident report, Reddick then admitted he had been inside the house earlier and wrote "I love you" with soap on a bathroom mirror.

When the man was placed under arrest, officers conducted a routine search and discovered four pairs of women's underwear in his back left pocket.

"I did not ask him where they came from but he spontaneously uttered that he took those form the residence after he saw me remove them from his pocket," the responding officer wrote in his report.

The 41-year-old's wife then arrived on scene and told officers that other items were also missing from the home.

Reddick was booked at a local jail.
