A State Trooper Was Driving Down the Road When He Saw Something That Had Him Rushing Out of His Vehicle

New video posted online shows the dramatic moment a Maryland State Police trooper saved the life of a man attempting to jump from a bridge last week.

The footage, posted to YouTube Tuesday, shows the officer driving over a bridge when he spots a man climbing over the ledge. The trooper immediately stopped.

"The trooper approached the man to check on his welfare. While doing so, the man began to climb over the wall of the bridge, attempting to jump," the Maryland State Police said in a Facebook post. "The trooper quickly exited his vehicle and grabbed the man before he could get over the side."
