There Was a Little More in the Water Than One Impala Anticipated: ‘It’s Risky Business Being a Thirsty Impala…’
August 26, 2014
Incredible footage.
A thirsty impala got a little more than it bargained for when it took a sip of water at the edge of a river in Zambia.
Incredible footage published online shows a crocodile suddenly burst out of the water and attack the impala at a river in the South Luangwa National Park. The animal, however, was able to quickly react and avoid the crocodile's strike.
Moments later, a pack of impalas returned to the river to drink again. The crocodile again attempted to sneak up on the pack of animals, but missed on its second strike.

"It's risky business being an thirsty impala on the edge of the Luangwa River," Shenton Safaris, which uploaded the video, wrote on the YouTube page.
The video was published online earlier this month, but the footage started circulating on the Internet more this week.
