MLB Host Earns His Right to Celebrate On-Air After Prophetically Predicting This Game-Winning Play Seconds Before It Happened
August 28, 2014
“You’ve got to be kidding me."
A Major League Baseball announcer earned his right to celebrate on live television after successfully predicting a game-winning home run to end a game in the bottom of the ninth inning Thursday night.
MLB Network host Greg Amsinger said he had a feeling in his “bad knee” that indicated San Francisco Giants player Buster Posey would come through in his two-out at bat.
“All I’m saying is, we might get a, ‘It is out of here,’” he said.
Seconds later, Posey hammered a shot deep into left field, winning the game with a home run.
“That was live,” Amsinger said moments later, after jumping up and down in celebration. “No DVR!”
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” one of his fellow hosts said.
The Giants won the game 4-2.
Note: TheBlaze at first accidentally swapped Posey's name for Amsinger's. We too could have predicted the wave of corrections from careful readers.
