Report: Comedian Joan Rivers Now in Stable Condition After She Stopped Breathing During Throat Surgery

Report: Comedian Joan Rivers Now in Stable Condition After She Stopped Breathing During Throat Surgery

Comedian Joan Rivers, 81, is now reportedly in stable condition after she stopped breathing during a surgical procedure Thursday morning, multiple outlets have reported.

Initially, Rivers was listed in critical condition after her heart stopped beating while undergoing throat surgery at a New York City clinic; she was subsequently rushed from the doctor's office to Mount Sinai Hospital, TMZ reported.

The New York Post's Page Six reported that she was at the Yorkville Endoscopy in Manhattan when the medical emergency unfolded.
