A teenager defacing her high school football field?
A teenager etching a 100-yard penis into her high school football field — and getting help from her mom?
That's noteworthily messed up.
A 50-year-old woman, her 16-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old male have all been questioned in connection with an incident that occurred earlier in the month, the Detroit Free Press reported, when someone used weed killer to create an oversized outline of male genitalia at Bedford High School's football field.
The incident has forced the school to relocate games, and is reportedly costing $10,000 to fix.
According to the Free Press, the football field was inscribed with "2016" and two smaller, 30-yard depictions of genitals besides the main member.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office plans to seek criminal charges, the Free Press reported, and the mom could face charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
“We are going to prosecute to the full extent of the law,” Superintendent Mark Kleinhans said. “This isn’t a little prank misdemeanor. This is a felony.”
He said he hoped other parents would take note.
“Parents need to talk to their kids about what they see on the Internet and what they’re choosing to do,” Kleinhans said. “Kids see things on the Internet that they think are cool and they want to mimic these. Well, they need to really think about what they see and what they do. ... This is going to cost someone really big.”
