Group of Impalas Had No Idea What Was Hiding Up Above in the Tree — Until It Was Too Late
September 24, 2014
A group of unsuspecting impalas in Botswana were grazing in a field when a deadly predator lurching in a nearby tree suddenly made its move.
Footage, captured by Yasmin Tajik, on vacation from Las Vegas, Nevada, shows a leopard dive about 15 feet from a tree and take down one of the unfortunate animals. The rest of the pack quickly scurried out of he way.
The leopard then attempted to take its lunch back up the tree, but the branches weren't strong enough to support the carcass. Eventually, the large cat chooses to hide its food on the ground and take a nap.
