Rescuers Attempt to Save an Injured, Homeless Dog — and Get Three More Beautiful Surprises
October 01, 2014
When Hope for Paws heard of an injured dog hiding in the bushes along a busy street in south central Los Angeles, the organization decided to lend a hand.
The dog was close to giving birth and would only come out at night, but only to find food. Hope for Paws teamed up with The Dog Rescuers, which agreed to help find a home for it, but the rescuers were worried the dog would run away once they cut into the bushes. When loud sirens passed by on the street only a few feet away from them, the chances of a successful rescue seemed all but certain.
As the rescuers inched closer to the dog, however, they found three more beautiful surprises:
Hope for Paws, a non-profit animal rescue organization in Los Angeles, is promoting this video on its YouTube page to raise money so it can help rescue even more animals.
As for Iris' eye, The Dog Rescuers wrote on its Facebook page Monday, "That is how she was found. It does not bother her at all. She has been looked at by a vet. No problems. She is doing great."
Post by The Dog Rescuers.
The Dog Rescuers are fostering Iris, Meg, Seth, and Nathanial in Pasadena, California until they're adopted.
