A new map published Friday by the New York Times shows the United States — according to college football fans.
The map, crated using the amount of Facebook "likes" for each team within certain ZIP codes, shows 84 programs across the country.

"Unlike professional sports, the college game is much more provincial, with scrappy regional programs dominating their corners of the country," the Times wrote in their story about the map. "Texas and Oregon are two of the most popular teams, but together they account for only 25 percent of territory in the lower 48 states."
