A tree that fell among the meticulous rows of uniform headstones in Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, California, missed each one of the grave markers.
Amazingly, the tree and its branches fell on everything but the veterans' headstones that could have been in its way Sunday. On Facebook, KPIX-TV described the photographs taken by Steve Ray as showing "branches eerily intertwining rows of graves."
According to the news station, it is unclear why the tree fell. See more images in KPIX's full post about how the tree left the "headstones miraculously [...] undamaged."
