Pay Attention to MSNBC Commentator’s Answer When Chris Matthews Asks: What’s the 'Good News' for Progressives on Election Night?

"Well, you know what..."

With many predicting Republicans will expand their majority in the House and take the Senate, MSNBC host Chris Matthews asked his colleague Joy Reid if there was any “good news” for progressives on Election Day.

Reid was left momentarily tongue-tied.

“Oh, that’s a good question, Chris,” Reid responded. “Well, you know what? I don’t know what the good news would be.”

Finally, Reid suggested that the “best news” for Democrats is that it could be easier “rebound two years later” if the GOP takes control of the U.S. Senate because of the right’s so-called “overreach.”
