One Second, This Rowdy Fan Is Running on Stage and Interrupting a Punk Rock Concert, the Next He's Learning Not to Mess With the Lead Singer
November 07, 2014
Fat Mike is the lead singer of the punk rock band NOFX. But on Tuesday night in Sydney, Australia, he looked more like Iron Mike Tyson.
A rowdy fan was able to storm the stage in the middle of one of the band's songs and decided to scream into the singer's mic. But Mike wasn't about to put up with that: In a split second, he unleashed a vicious right elbow, knocking the stage-stormer to the ground. That's when, for good measure, Mike issued a kick to the man's face, sending his head snapping back.
Watch it unfold:
But don't think there's any hard feelings. After the show the fan, identified as Alex, tweeted an apology, saying things are a little different at punk shows in Australia. As for Fat Mike, he actually apologized, too:
I'm sorry too Alex, I was in terrible pain all night. When you grabbed me by the neck I defensively reacted... offensively @alexanderpeterq

Alex, if you go to the show on friday I'll buy you a beer. Just don't throw it at me alright?
