A California woman was waiting to check out at a Nordstrom Rack in Colma when a child began throwing a fit behind her. What happened after this woman asked the mother to calm her child is one for the books.
Natalie Bree Hajek-Richardson told KPIX-TV that it wasn't the child's tantrum overall that bothered her but the noise specifically.
"[I]t was hurting my ears,” Hajek-Richardson told the news station.

She said that she calmly asked the mother to take some action to quiet her child down, but what happened instead was a surprise.
“She came to the side of me and told me not to tell her child what to do. And I told her that I didn’t ask your child what to do, I asked you very nicely to calm down your child just a little bit,” Hajek-Richardson said
She admitted to not taking this continuation of the confrontation lightly, telling KPIX she then told the mother "to got to hell."
But things didn't end there.
Surveillance footage of the store's parking lot shows how the fight got physical.

"[She] was asking me, ‘Where’d you tell me to go?’ So I repeated again what I said to her, and I told her that I told her to go to hell,” Hajek-Richardson said, according to KPIX.
Before she knew it, both of them were on the ground. Hajek-Richardson said she was punched by the mother twice.
Watch the incident in KPIX's report:
“My teeth hurt, my elbow hurts, I got a bruise on my thigh,” Hajek-Richardson told the news station, adding that she fears she could lose some of her teeth.
The mother has not yet been identified, but KPIX reported that police are investigating the incident.
For now, maybe take the San Francisco Chronicle's advice: "Mom rage: It's real, people. Mind your business."
