Hockey Player Scores Game-Winning, 'Impossible Goal' With a Backwards, No-Look, Between-the-Legs Shot
November 11, 2014
"And he scores! An impossible goal!"
Late in the second period, the Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils hockey game was tied 2-2. That's when Bruins' rookie center Seth Griffith scored a goal that ended up being the game-winner, but also put him on the highlight reel.
Griffith kicked off the play by blocking a shot back in the Boston zone. He took the puck, skated the length of the ice, heading straight towards the Devils' net.

New Jersey's defensemen converged on the Boston player and turned him around in an effort to prevent him from taking a shot. Griffith was unfazed, swatting the puck between his legs and into the net behind goalie Corey Schneider.
