"...stated that someone in Iowa told him to go to the White House."
A man was detained by law enforcement near the White House with a rifle Wednesday afternoon, the Secret Service said.

Authorities arrested R.J. Kapheim who had in his possession a .30-30 rifle with ammunition nearby in his vehicle, authorities said.
Under questioning he then lead USSS agents to his vehicle nearby which contained ammunition, according to the USSS spokesman - @markknoller

Secret Service spokeswoman Nicle Mainor told ABC News that he approached a uniformed officer at 12.54 p.m. and "stated that someone in Iowa told him to go to the White House."
The man did not display any threatening behavior, but appeared suspicious, she added.
No other details were immediately available.
