Police say an armed suspect approached his would-be “victim” in Delray Beach, Florida, earlier this month and attempted to rob the man — but was instead hit with an unexpected surprise that had him running for his life.
The suspect, identified by the Sun Sentinel as 28-year-old Ben-Belarrio Ulysse, reportedly pointed a firearm at an unidentified victim during an attempted robbery.
Rather than comply, the man drew his own firearm when he felt that his life was in danger, according to an arrest report.

The suspect was forced to get on the ground, but he later made the risky move to get up and run away. He reportedly left his .38-caliber revolver at the scene.
However, Ulysse was arrested on Saturday by police and booked at Palm Beach County Jail on charges of robbery and aggravated assault.
A second man also reportedly claimed the same suspect held a gun to his neck and stole $900 in cash from him.
