Congress' former top sexter got a booster lesson in how social media can sometimes turn against you.
Ex-Rep. Anthony Weiner on Thursday tweeted a crack about New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's decision to close down transit systems last month ahead of the blizzard that wasn't quite.
Sunday's gonna be cold. Governor Cuomo will soon be closing the subway.
— Anthony Weiner (@anthonyweiner) February 12, 2015It didn't go unnoticed by Cuomo spokesman Richard Azzopardi, who in a withering tweet advised Weiner to keep himself covered up.
.@anthonyweiner Yes, it is going to be cold. A good reason to keep your pants on.
— Rich Azzopardi (@RichAzzopardi) February 12, 2015Weiner resigned from office in 2011 after admitting to sending multiple explicit images of himself to women. But, needing to have the final say, he hit back at Azzopardi with a reference to the corruption investigation underway in the state's capital.
I have to be careful responding. I don't want to be accused of witness tampering.
