"Be still and know that I am God."
As her husband’s killer stands trial for murder, Taya Kyle spent this Valentine's Day without her valentine. On Saturday, Kyle was sitting on a "beautiful porch on a ranch a friend has generously allowed us to find respite in."
And though she is heartbroken and “forever changed,” Kyle wrote in a moving Facebook post on Saturday that she still feels “blessed.”
Her late husband, legendary Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, and Chad Littlefield were both shot and killed at a Texas gun range on Feb. 2, 2013, as they tried to be there for a troubled veteran.
She began her message with a Bible verse, Psalm 46:10: “Be still and know that I am God.”

The Bible verse that Kyle regularly leaves alongside her signature, Micah 6:8 reads: “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
