State Troopers Caught Doing Something That Was Called 'Silently Amazing!

"I am in awe of these cops in Michigan."

What state troopers in Michigan did earlier this month left bystanders in "awe."

According to a Facebook post accompanying a photo by Juan Rios, a homeless man was trying to buy food at State Street Tony's restaurant in Saginaw, Michigan, on March 2 but didn't have enough money for a full meal.

Here's the full post (Content warning: some strong language):

Rios, who was visiting a friend, elaborated to MLive that the homeless man was trying to figure out what he could afford, which was only an order of fries.

One of the troopers addressed his colleagues and asked who was going to buy the guy's food, Rios said.

"Who's gonna pay for his meal?" Rios recounted one of the troopers saying.

"So all the cops pulled out money and got the man a sandwich and fries to eat. These police officers were silently amazing!" Rios wrote. "It takes one act of kindness to inspire and move someone to do the same."

"I am in awe of these cops in Michigan," Rios wrote.

State Police Sgt. Yvonne Brantley told MLive that this is "exactly what we would expect from them."

"It makes us proud that somebody saw it and put it out there so people so could see," Brantley said.
